Bachelor upgrade programme (BACI)

The University College of Eurythmy in Norway (Den norsk Eurytmihoyskole) is offering eurythmists with a recognized eurythmy diploma the opportunity to up-grade to a Bachelor degree in Eurythmy and Education in a part-time course that takes place in 2010–11.

The course

Eurythmists in the programme are expected to demonstrate eurythmic competence on an equivalent level with graduating students of the University College of Eurythmy in Norway. They will receive support from the teachers in the following areas: solos, group work, and demonstration, as well as music theory and speech formation.

Program A

The University College of Eurythmy in Norway offers a part-time course over three modules in the school year 2010-2011:

Module 1: From Sunday, October10th - Thursday, October 21st, 2010.

Module 2: From Sunday, February 19th - Thursday, February 24th, 2011.

Module 3: From Sunday, July 3rd - Friday,  July 8th, 2011.

All sessions begin at 9.00 am on the first day and end at 1.00 pm on the last day except July, 8th, which will end at 6.00 pm.

Eurythmists must have sufficient pedagogical training and at least one year's teaching experience to be accepted on this program.

All participants are expected to practise individually with help from the teachers on the course and individual mentors. In the course of the weeks in Oslo participants prepare for the tasks for the next module, practise group pieces, and practise and show what they have worked on between modules for faculty and an external examiner.

Program B

Program B:

It is possible for eurythimsts with a diploma to do full-time study at our college and fulfill the requirements for the BA degree.

Students in this program have pedagogical training and a 3 - week practicum, and in this way can fulfill the pedagogical requrement. This program is in the nature of a 5th year and allows for a closer working with the teachers in the training on solos and group pieces.
